Ft. Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) December 1, 2009 -- An actual crown from the mouth of Elvis Presley has hit the auctions on Ebay.com. This one of a kind piece was given, by Elvis, to his fiancé at the time, Linda Thompson. After Elvis' tragic death in 1977, she sold the piece to Jimmy Velvet. Mr. Velvet was Elvis' best friend and owner of The Elvis Museum in Branson, MO. It remained in the museum collection until it closed in 1996 when it was obtained and sold by Startifacts, a well known and reputable auction house that specializes in entertainment collectables.

The item was bought by a Florida Elvis fan and entrepreneur, and owner of “The Yellow Strawberry Salon”, a prestigious, up-scale hair salon on Las Olas Blvd. in Ft. Lauderdale FL., where it has been on display next to an extensive collection of entertainment memorabilia. This collection included locks of hair from John F. Kennedy, Marilyn Monroe, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Robert E. Lee, Baron "The Red Baron" von Richtoffen and King George lll. Thousands of curious sightseers and fans of the late Rock n’ Roll star have visited the salon to get a glimpse of this unusual collection.

This Item includes an irrefutable, notarized letter and certificate signed by Jimmy Velvet authenticating it as the actual piece that hung in the Elvis Museum in Branson, MO as well as the certificate of authenticity from "Startifacts" when it was sold.

It is encased in a beautiful silver gilded professional case, 17" X 25" X 3", surrounding a mirrored cube enclosing the crown. A plaque describing the origin of the item is mounted on the front, as well as a color photo of Elvis.
This is a "one of a kind" piece of documented Elvis memorabilia. Nothing like it has been available to the public in years and probably never will again! Don't miss this chance to own something that no one else in the world has. Bidding will start at $10,000 with no reserve. (News, Source: Sanja Meegin/PRWEB)
