Elvis' biorhythm charts on the day he died

(Source: Judy Nevers, Oct 2009)

Introduction: A biorhythm is a hypothetical cycle in physiological, emotional, or intellectual well-being or prowess.

Many people use biorhythm charts as part of their daily routine. They are seen as a guide to one's physical and mental functioning or well being and can be useful in helping to avoid accidents and clumsy thinking.

For example, some people will not undertake strenuous activity if their physical biorhythm is at its lowest point, while others will not undertake long trips by car if their three primary biorhythms are near their lowest points. Some people have been known to schedule important exams around their biorhythm

Biorhythms were very popular in the 1970s and are not as widely known today.

It is considered that when the biorhythm indicators are in the low part of their cycle the person is more prone to accidents, mistakes and faulty thinkingas the case may be. Having all three primary biorhythms at a high point in their cycle around the same time is considered to heighten one's daily operation, while the reverse is true.

A person's Physical cycle runs for 23 days from the time of their birth; the Emotional cycle runs for 28 days and the Intellectual cycle for 33 days.

Each cycle starts from the 0% point and first goes into a high or positive loop, crossing into a low loop half way through the cycle.

Elvis' primary and secondary biorhythm charts around 16 August 1977 are certainly interesting:

Chart 1: Primary Biorhythms 16 Aug 1977:

Chart 2: Secondary Biorhythm 16 Aug 1977:

Understanding the Biorhythm Chart

The biorhythm chart depicts a range of days centered on the target day. The numbers -14, -7, +7, and +14 across the top mark dates ranging from the past to the future. The numbers from +100% (maximum) to -100% (minimum) indicate where the rhythms are on a particular day.

In general, a rhythm at 0% is thought to have no real impact on your life, whereas a rhythm at +100% (a high) would give you an edge in that area, and a rhythm at -100% (a low) would make life more difficult in that area.

There is no particular meaning to a day on which your rhythms are all high or all low, except the obvious benefits or hindrances that these rare extremes are thought to have on your life.

Interpretating Elvis' chart

As can be seen in Chart 1, on 16 August 1977 all three of the indicators (physical, emotional and intellectual) were at a low point, with Elvis' emotional biorhythm at the nadir (lowest point) of its cycle.

Chart 2 indicates the lesser known biorhythm indicators of wisdom, passion and mastery, were also in the low part of their cycles.

While 16 August 1977 could have been a worse day for Elvis' internal biorhythms (all 6 could have been at their lowest ebb), that all six were in the low part of their cycle suggests he would not have been at his most effective.

Primary Rhythms

The three primary biorhythm cycles are:

The 23-day physical cycle tracks the man's strength, endurance, powers and state of health.

The 28-day emotional cycle tracks the stability and positive energy of your psyche and outlook on life, as well as your capacity to empathize with and build rapport with other people.

The 33-day intellectual cycle is representative of man's intellectual dynamics: verbal, mathematical, symbolic, and creative abilities, as well as your capacity to apply reason and analysis to the world around you.

Additional rhythm

The 38-day intuitive cycle was discovered later and can’t be considered as a primary one. However it may be useful to know when you can trust your "sixth sense". The cycle tracks an unconscious perception and instincts.

Biorhythms: Secondary rhythms

The three secondary cycles that derive from the primaries are:

Mastery biorhythm comes from interaction between the Intellectual and Physical cycles. Mastery encompasses your ability to succeed at tasks and to obtain what you desire. This cycle also tracks athletic ability and the focus required to learn physical skills.

Passion biorhythm is the combination of the Physical and Emotional cycles. Passion encompasses your motivation to act, and the drive that allows you to continue a difficult pursuit. This cycle also tracks sexuality in its purest form and affects enthusiasm, stimulus, and impulsion.

Wisdom biorhythm is created by interference between the Emotional and Intellectual cycles. Wisdom encompasses your understanding of the world, your role in it, and the things that are truly important to your life. This cycle also tracks the presence of mind that you need to make crucial decisions.

Biorhythms: Extra rhythms (Intuitive patterns)

The three extra cycles that derive from the primarie cycles are:

Perception - comes from interaction between the Physical and Intuitive cycles.

Psychic - is the combination of the Emotional and Intuitive cycles.

Success - is created by interference between the Intellectual and Intuitive cycles.

The Physical/Intuition pattern is probably the hardest of the basic patterns to name. That's probably because Physical and Intuition are diametrically opposed on the surface. On the contrary, they are the same as all extremes meet. Physical covers the 5 basic senses that everyone is aware of and Intuition embodies the ethereal (electromagnetic) senses that are just beyond the reach of conventional science. Many plants and animals on this planet have been proven by science to have perceptions beyond that which most people realize, and untold unsolved crimes have been solved with the help of Psychics. This pattern was named the PERCEPTION pattern for obvious reasons.

Emotional/Intuition is the PSYCHIC pattern (ESP, Precognition, Remote Viewing, etc.), and Intellectual/Intuition is the SUCCESS pattern (Business, Financial, Scientific discoveries, etc.).
