Angry Lisa Marie confirms pregnancy: Lisa Marie Presley is pregnant with her third child. The singer broke the news on her MySpace blog, writing, "I am in fact pregnant." The singer goes on to blog about the onslaught of media speculation her pregnancy has caused.

"After being the target all week of slanderous and degrading stories, horribly manipulated pictures and articles in the media, I have had to show my cards and announce under the gun and under vicious personal attack." Presley writes.

She compares the media to, "a pack of coyotes circling their prey whilst eerily howling with delight."
With the announcement, Presley is hoping for a respite from the media attention.

"Now that things are confirmed, hopefully they can stop all of the harassment and I can stop dodging the continuous bullets," she blogs.

This marks Presley's first child with husband Michael Lockwood. The couple was married in January 2006. Presley has two other children; Benjamin, 15, and Riley, 18, with ex-husband Danny Keough. (Lisa Presley's World, Source: OMG!/Yahoo News, 8 March 2008)

EIN Comment: Tabloid media manipulation of photographs of celebrities is a long time In the 1970s, superimposed pictures of Elvis with his "latest supposed girlfriend or fiance" were common. However, the recent photo-shopped images of Lisa Marie Presley are a most unfair and extreme breach of journalistic trust!

Lisa Marie recording update: Lisa Marie apparently visited with the rock band, Glasvegas last month in Edinburgh. Lisa and Priscilla had flown over for the Led Zepplin concert and then met the Scottish band in a pub. It seems Lisa had loved their single, Daddy's Gone which singer James Allan wrote about his parents' break up.

Lisa called the group to tell them the song lyrics really touched her. And that she and her mom listened to the song, Daddy's Gone 8 times in a row. James said: "We met Lisa Marie in an Edinburgh pub. She'd never been to Scotland before. Nobody recognized her, even though she looks like Elvis."

"She'd met Alan McGee in LA and told him how much she loved us. She's got a recording studio at home and she's invited us to record a few tracks with her the next time we tour America."

Glasvegas is made up of James, guitarist Rab Allan, bass player Paul Donoghue and drummer Caroline Mackay. Their new single is, It's My Own Cheating Heart That Makes Me Cry will be released on Valentine's Day. (Source: www.elvisunlimited.com/www.epgold.com, 23 Jan 2008)

Tartan tribute for the King: LISA Marie Presley has reportedly commissioned an Edinburgh kiltmaker to create an official Elvis tartan. The daughter of the King of rock and roll came to the Capital last week. The 39-year-old songwriter has been looking into ways of strengthening Elvis's Scottish heritage, after it emerged his ancestors hailed from Aberdeenshire. She visited 21st Century Kilts on the Royal mile.

After speaking to designer Howie Nicholsby, Lisa Marie learned she could claim the maiden name of Elvis's mother, Gladys Smith, for her tartan. (Source: News.Scotsman.com, 22 Dec 2007)

"In The Ghetto" duet #1 in five countries: On her website Lisa Marie Presley mentions that the "In the Ghetto" duet with her father has now reached the #1 spot on iTunes in Canada, UK, Australia, Ireland, Germany and New Zealand. "Thank you all for helping it get there and for helping the people of New Orleans! We love you!!!"

All proceeds from sale of the song and video are going to the newly established The Presley Charitable Foundation. This is specifically for LMP and her kids to do special projects. It is not the same as the "The Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation" which has been up and running for a very long time and has it's own successful projects.

In order to stem the tide of the public (illegally) watching the "In the Ghetto" video on YouTube and other video sites, they have made a movie that will hopefully persuade the viewers to go to iTunes and purchase it, and thereby.... help end homelessness!

You can help tremendously by downloading the movie, then uploading it to YouTube and any other video site you can think of. Go nuts. Flood the world. End suffering.

Lisa Marie Presley Interview: She's the daughter of music's biggest icon, a singer-songwriter in her own right, a mother of two and the head of one of the world's biggest tourist attractions. Lisa Marie Presley is also very outspoken. On the week of the 30th anniversary of Elvis Presley's death, which she commemorated by filming a duet of 'In the Ghetto', she shared with Spinner her candid opinions on the commercialization of his music, her distaste for young Hollywood and why she doesn't need fans to remind her how wonderful her dad was. With the new single entering the charts and her upset about the 'Viagra' TV campaign (see below) it is fascinating to hear Lisa's recent views. (Interview, Source: Spinner.com)

Lisa Marie on GMA, as good an actor as her father!: On the USA Good Morning America programme this past week, when Lisa Marie goes into the archive building (photo right) they show her a scarf with a message written on it to her from Elvis. In a strange move Lisa Marie acts surprised and says that she has never seen it before. As this very item is featured in the book 'Elvis By The Presleys' (page 173) how can she not have seen it before? It is possible that she just has a bad memory and has never closely read the book - or maybe it is just good acting! Look here at 12mins 53 seconds into the clip.- (News, Source;Tony Stuchbury/ ElvisScrapbookUK)

Lisa Marie upset about Elvis viagra theme: Lisa Marie Presley is fuming after learning her late father's Viva Las Vegas hit is providing the theme to a new TV campaign for sex drug Viagra. Elvis croons the classic as part of the quirky Viva Viagra TV ad - suggesting even The King understood how frustrating erectile dysfunction can be.
But the rocker's daughter is far from amused by the new ads for drug giants Pfizer. Lisa Marie says, "I find it revolting. Some songs we have no control over and I know we didn't license that one."

'Elvis 30th Anniversary Concert' - The Ultimate Review: The shared emotions of this adoring, loving, crowd wrapped up in the beauty of Elvis as he sang from his heart and soul will never be repeated. When we arrived at the FedEx Forum at 7.15pm we were prepared for anything. We had had such a great trip, that nothing could dampen our spirits, but I don’t think anything prepared us for the treat we were about to experience. Just walking into that massive stadium was electrifying…. the atmosphere was something I had never experienced, and the sense of anticipation was spine tingling. Lisa Marie performed live on-stage to the wonderful dues of 'In The Ghetto', and thanks to EIN the whole group had some great seats, and a surprise was in store for us later in the evening. . . Do Not Miss this EIN ultimate review of the final 'Elvis In Concert' - plus 'The Midnight Show'. Includes complete set-lists and photos. It was a very magical experience. (Spotlight, Source;EIN)

Elvis and Lisa Marie's duet of  'In The Ghetto' enters the Billboard charts at #83;  The charity duet version of Elvis' No.1 hit from 1969 as premiered at the 30th Anniversary Fedex Concert is available from iTunes for a limited time. Proceeds go to the Presley Charitable Foundation benefitting homeless families in New Orleans.
Lisa Marie also issued this comment on her website. "Calling all troops! In order to stem the tide of the public (illegally) watching the 'In the Ghetto' video on YouTube and other video sites, we've made a movie that will hopefully persuade the viewers to go to iTunes and purchase it, and thereby.... Lisa Marie's 30th anniversary project revealed - new duet with Elvis!: A new video of Lisa Marie Presley singing "In the Ghetto," accompanied by her late father, Elvis Presley, will be posted Friday on the AOL Internet site Spinner.com, a company spokesman said Tuesday. To mark the 30th anniversary of her father's death, Lisa Marie Presley's voice was added to the original version of her father's hit song from 1969. The video duet also features images of her late father.

Spinner.com will post the video along with the transcript of an interview with Lisa Marie Presley, AOL spokesman Kurt Patat said. In the interview, Lisa Marie Presley said the project was emotionally stirring.

"We had two hours to lay down my vocals," she says. "So the next morning, I heard the rough ... and ... I've never cried when I've done anything ... ever ... but I just lost it when I heard it.

Lisa Marie Presley also talks in the interview about how she was offended to see her father's song "Viva Las Vegas" used in a Viagra commercial. "I find that revolting," she said. "Some songs we have no control over. I know we didn't license that one."

Proceeds from the new song and video will be used to help build temporary housing for the homeless in New Orleans, she said. The project is to be similar to Presley Place, a 12-unit apartment building for the homeless built in Memphis by Elvis Presley Enterprises Inc. in 2001. At the time, Elvis Presley Enterprises was owned by Lisa Marie Presley. She sold 85 percent of the company two years ago to CKX Inc., which now controls the worldwide business in marketing Elvis' name and image.

Elvis Presley died at his Memphis home, Graceland, on Aug. 16, 1977, and thousands of fans are in town this week for the 30th anniversary of his death.

Lisa Marie Presley, 39, is scheduled to attend a concert Thursday in Memphis that will feature her father performing on video, with live support from his former backup singers and band members. Her most recent album of her own music was "Now What" in 2005, but she said in the interview that she hopes to put out a new album soon.

"I'm definitely going to do it," she said. "I just have to figure out the right way. I'm on a clean slate right now — I just got off my label (Capitol Records). So I'm figuring out my next route." (Source: Christine Bamford, 14 Aug 2007)

It’s THAT time of year......... After months of deliberation, it has finally come to me what I want to do for the 30th Anniversary, Aug 16th Event. Of course it all came to me in the 11th hour and is nearly impossible to pull off (and everyone is definitely letting me know that) REGARDLESS, I am on the case myself pretty much 24/7.... It's no simple task as it involves many people and many things and all at the last minute. I LOVE THOSE PEOPLE MORE THAN ANYTHING RIGHT NOW!!! I wanted whatever I do to mean something, this is NO easy task. Wish me luck I need it, ~LMP (Source: Elvis Express Radio, 8 Aug 2007)

Lisa Presley pregnant?: Sources reveal that Lisa Marie Presley was pregnant when she tied the knot for the fourth time in January to Michael Lockwood. The couple is rumored to have been planning a spring wedding, but when the royalty rocker found she was expecting her third child, she moved the wedding date up considerably.

Lisa Marie and her new husband opted for a traditional Japanese ceremony which took place in the Far East with only 9 close friends and family.A friend reveals, "Lisa Marie was determined to look great for her wedding. I think she didn't want to be pregnant in her photographs. If they'd have waited until the spring when they were due to get married, the bump would have been showing."As soon as she found out she was pregnant in early January, she told Michael, 'Let's get married now.' They told the wedding planner she had five days to organize a wedding in Japan and told their families to pack their bags."

Another friend of the couple confirmed Lisa Marie’s pregnancy, saying, "Lisa didn't want to say anything till she was over the first trimester, but she and Priscilla are very happy." (Source: Headline News, 16 Mar 2006)

Presley says "I married Michael Jackson to hide!": Serial bride LISA MARIE PRESLEY insists she married pop superstar MICHAEL JACKSON because he could empathise with her upbringing in the limelight. The daughter of rock legend ELVIS PRESLEY - who recently wed guitarist MICHAEL LOCKWOOD - now realises her nuptials with Jackson were a lapse in judgement. She says, "I have never met a man who could cope with me, who I am, the Presley name. Which is why I married someone even more famous than myself. "Hiding behind someone else was, I guess, easier, although not necessarily the right thing to do." (Source: Contact Music, 10 March 2006)

Presleys PUNK'D the press: LISA MARIE PRESLEY managed to keep her Japanese wedding to guitarist MICHAEL LOCKWOOD a secret for a month. Media outlets which got hold of photos from the rocker's unorthodox Kyoto nuptials last month (FEB06) were told the ceremony had just happened - but now her mother PRISCILLA admits her daughter "punk'd" the press because the wedding actually took place in January (06). The proud mum says, "She had her dream, she wanted to see how long she could get away with it and it was great because she got away with it for a month." Priscilla offended by tabloid headline: Priscilla Presley says she is offended by suggestions there is something wacky about her family. Tabloid magazines this week labelled as "kooky kabuki" her daughter Lisa Marie's marriage to musician Michael Lockwood in Japan, with both wearing kimonos.

"It does offend me," Presley told AAP in Sydney. "It was not wacky in any sense of the word because you appreciate a culture and you appreciate tradition, that is wacky for somebody to say that."

Lisa Marie and Lockwood exchanged vows in a traditional Japanese ceremony on January 22, both wearing traditional Japanese costumes. It was a fourth marriage for Lisa Marie who has previously been married to Nicolas Cage, Michael Jackson and Danny Keough, the father of her two children. Priscilla Presley walked her daughter down the aisle and gave her away.

"The wackyness isn't on our end," said Presley. "I don't think we have ever been known to be wacky. "Maybe having lived our whole lives in front of everyone, things might look that way but this was so well thought out and she is very happy." Presley described Lisa Marie's wedding as "beautiful". "The wedding was everything she wanted and the mood was so tranquil and very traditional in dress," she said.

Priscilla Presley arrived in Australia on Saturday for the worldwide launch of her bed linen range with Australian fashion designer Bruno Schiavi, titled The Priscilla Presley Collection. The 60-year-old was married to Elvis from 1967 to 1973 and has two children, Lisa Marie with Presley and Navarone Garibaldi with partner Marco Garibaldi. She acknowledged that Elvis, who died of a heart attack in 1977, was always going to be a big part of her life.

"It was such an impactful era that I think everyone feels they own a little bit of Elvis," she said after the launch at Sydney's inner city Myer department store. "As far as separating myself, I can't really deny that was history and I was very much a part of history in that sense. "It was a great time, a great era and a great loss". Last November, Lisa Marie invited our own MARY HART to the set of the video shoot for her single "Idiot," where she gushed about her romance with Lockwood.

"I am the happiest I've ever been and I'm in the most sane, calm, best relationship that I've ever been in, for sure," she said then, although she chose to keep quiet about any marriage plans at the time.

"I can tell you the most amazing thing is that we've been together for two years and there hasn't been one fight," she added, "which is a pretty big deal."

And proof that the pair are in a mature -- and unique -- relationship is the fact that ex-husband and father of her two children, Danny Keogh, is in her band -- the one her new husband directs.

"Michael is the musical director, so he's like the boss of the band, Danny is the father of my children and we have this other dynamic," she says. "It's very complicated, yet it's very simple because they get along so well that it doesn't interfere with anything."

Lisa Marie was also previously married to popstar MICHAEL JACKSON from 1994-1996, and to actor NICOLAS CAGE, from 2002-2004. (17 Feb 2006, Source: ET)

Lisa Presleys's thrill ride nightmare: Lisa Presley will be thinking twice before she takes US NASCAR racers up on offers of a drive around the track at the upcoming Sam's Town 250, after one speed-lover terrified her with a thrill ride. The rocker, who is set to enjoy a stint as grand marshal, once agreed to belt up for a hairy high-speed drive in former race ace WALLY DALLENBACH's motor and she's now determined to stay out of fast cars. She says, "He was riding a half inch away from the wall and bottoming out, which freaked me out. "It was exciting... but he was having his own party. A party for one." And Presley admits she doesn't know how racing car drivers put up with the intense temperatures they have to endure as they race around the track. She adds, "I got in one of those race uniforms. It's like 250 degrees with that on. It that were me, I would have been in the ER getting electrolytes." (News, Source: Contact Music, 31 Aug 2005)

"I can take criticism" says Lisa: Singer Lisa Marie Presley is determined to be philosophical about criticism, no matter how harsh it may be - because it keeps her grounded. The sexy rocker, 37, insists she has never wanted to be shielded from reality, even when a crazed fan posted a vicious message on her website, because she inherited a tough streak from her late father ELVIS PRESLEY.She explains, "A website was set up for me, and someone posted a message saying, 'Your album sucks. I hope the next plane you're on crashes."'Meanwhile, just go back to spending daddy's millions.' I mean, my God!"But I insisted that they left those words up there, for other people to respond to. "I've got big balls. I guess I inherited then from my dad." The feisty rocker, 37, was always devoted to her late father ELVIS PRESLEY, but she finally feels just as comfortable with her actress mother. She says, "We've reached a place where we like and respect each other. "After so many years of torture, misunderstandings and men getting involved - her boyfriends, or mine - it's been really nice. "She even tries to say 'f**k' sometimes now, which cracks me up, because she does it so politely." (News/Lisa Presley's World, Source: Sanja Meegin, 18 July 2005)

White doves released into sky as Lisa Presley's ex-husband, Michael Jackson, found "not guilty": Singer and self-proclaimed King of Pop, Michael Jackson, has been found "not guilty" of all 10 charges against him. The "not guilty" verdicts were also found for lesser charges on a number of matters. One fan in the large crowd gathered outside the court released a white dove into the air as each of the "not guilty" verdicts was announced. Jackson married Lisa Presley on May 26, 1994, and they were divorced on Jan. 18, 1996. Apart from his self-proclaimed title of "King of Pop", Jackson lives on a mansion estate called Neverland. His album, Thriller, is the biggest selling album in recording music history with global sales of 50 million. (News, Source: Yahoo video news/Billboard, 13 June 2005)

Interest for Lisa’s concert at all time low: While the books and DVD’s with Lisa talking about her father are selling rapidly, the interest in her concerts seem to be at an all time low. When Lisa gave a benefit show in New York, for the city’s homeless children, she had roughly about 250 visitors. Tickets for the show were available until 5 minutes for curtain time. (News, Source: Elvis Matters, 1 June 2005 )

Marty Lacker critical of Lisa Presley as a singer: On the alt.elvis.king messageboard we found an interesting statement by Marty Lacker about Lisa Presley's singing ability: "What Lisa does attempt is a phony southern accent and pronounciation of words with that accent.  Cher does the same thing.  Although Lisa was born in Memphis she lived most of her life in California and does not have a southern accent.  She thinks it makes her cool to sing that way--it doesn't. It comes off phony." In a separate post Marty said Lisa cannot sing. (News, Source: alt.elvis.king, 28 May 2005)

Lisa Presley keeps her bikini line well maintained: Lisa Presley is a self-described "maniac" when it comes to keeping her genitalia completely free of hair. The LIGHTS OUT singer admits she waxes religiously, and will not tolerate any follicles springing up in that area of her body. She told BLENDER magazine, "You get used to the pain (of waxing). I'm a maniac about the bikini area - if there's any hair, I want it gone. I'm very anal about that." (News, Source: ContactMusic.com)

Lisa Presley ready to sue: Lisa Presley is so furious with the US tabloids, she's now "just waiting" for an opportunity to sue them. The LIGHTS OUT singer has become something of a tabloid fixture over the years, with her marriages to MICHAEL JACKSON and NICOLAS CAGE garnering huge attention. But she's now decided that enough is enough - and she will not hesitate taking legal action if she's unhappy with what they choose to print about her. She says of the tabloids, "They're hanging on a limb with me right now. I'm just waiting for them to make another move and I'm gonna go with all guns loaded. I've kind of tried to warn them. "They're really bad right now. The same person owns all three of the major ones. So it looks like there's all these different things going on but it's the same damn people." Lisa's comments in "Elvis By The Presleys" book incensing fans: Comments by Lisa Marie Presley in the new book, "Elvis By The Presleys" have many fans more than animated. In the book Lisa says: "Elvis surrounded himself with people who sucked the life out of him!" and that "Elvis fed too many rats to too many snakes!" Also causing angst is the fact that apart from Priscilla, Lisa Marie and Elvis' cousin Patsy, "The Presleys" co-authoring the book are Priscilla's mother and father, Ann & Paul Beaulieu, and Priscilla's sister, Michelle Beaulieu Hovey, who is married to one of the EPE heavyweights, Gary Hovey. (News, Source: Various, 6 May 2005)

'Holy terror' Lisa Marie blackmailed Elvis' aides: Lisa Marie Presley had her father Elvis' associates at her beck and call because she would go out of her way to catch them with their mistresses and then blackmail them. The rocker admits she could get away with almost anything at the family's Graceland home in Memphis, Tennessee when she was growing up, because her dad's pals knew they had to stay on her good side. She says, "I was a holy terror. I'd see the guys in my father's entourage with women on their laps who were not their wives. "I'd threaten to fire them or tell their wives if they didn't do whatever I said." (News, Source: contactmusic.com, 5 May 2005)

Presley thrives on "gigging": LISA MARIE PRESLEY credits the buzz of performing live with killing her plans to quit the music industry. The daughter of rock 'n' roll king ELVIS has suffered at the harsh hands of the media for a quarter of a century, and she admits the unwanted exposure occasionally leaves her craving for anonymity. But the singer - whose ill-fated marriages to DANNY KEOUGH, MICHAEL JACKSON and NICOLAS CAGE have all made headline news - abolishes thoughts of hanging up the microphone every time she rocks out a live venue. She says, "There are points when it gets a little overwhelming. But the redeeming factor is when I do my shows and I'm touring. I meet the fans and I see people singing the songs and I know that I've actually accomplished what I've set out for. "It's not all about my ex-husbands or some craziness that I have nothing to do with." (News, Source: ContactMusic.com, 1 May 2005)

Lisa Presley's fears for dead snappers: Rocker Lisa Marie Presley pities the photographers who hound celebrities - because they will be punished in the "next lifetime". The singer understands the importance of the media in terms of its coverage of serious news, but she refuses to accept the endless quantity of manufactured showbiz stories and privacy-invading photos that dominate newspaper pages. And Presley fears the crimes of the paparazzi will not go unnoticed in the afterlife. She says, "Well, there's got to be some kind of communication network to let people know what's happening in the world - that's fine and valid, we need that. But as far as the other stuff goes, it's the nature of the beast. "I think they're out of control right now, more than I've ever been. If there is such a thing as life after death, I would hate to see what the paparazzi would come back as in the next lifetime. I wouldn't want to be in their head and in their conscience." "Now What" drops to #33: After debuting last week at #9, the new Lisa Presley album fell 24 places to #33 on the latest Billboard Hot 200 Album chart. (News, Source: Billboard, 24 April 2005)

Lisa Presley's painful song about Johnny Ramone: LISA MARIE PRESLEY struggles to sing new song WHEN YOU GO live because she wrote it as pal JOHNNY RAMONE was dying. The rocker reveals she penned the poignant song when she learned Ramone was fighting for life in hospital while she was on a flight from Los Angeles to New York. She says, "He made it out of the hospital, and he lived for three more months; but it was a really hard song to sing because I realised that it applied to him just as much as it applied to everything else I was writing about." But she relishes singing another new song, IDIOT: "That is about somebody who I went through years of hell with before I finally just went, 'You know what? I've just had it with your a**. I'm going to shoot you at point blank, right between the eyes, and nail you right where I see you.' "It's just a good 'f**k you' song." The Wonder Of You - another #1?: The Wonder Of You holds a narrow sales lead over Tony Christie's Amarillo based on mid-week singles sales in the UK. Meanwhile, Lisa Presley's new album, Now What, is at #7 based on mid-week album sales. (News, Source: Music Week/ElvisNews.com, 12 April 2005)

Presley has no idea why tabloids "like" her: LISA MARIE PRESLEY fails to understand why she's been a tabloid target for so many years. The LIGHTS OUT singer, daughter of ELVIS PRESLEY, endured a drug problem as a teen and has had three very public marriages including headline-grabbing unions with NICOLAS CAGE and eccentric singer MICHAEL JACKSON - but she can't see why her private activities would be vaguely interesting to the public. She says, "The tabloids like me. I don't know what their deal is with me, I really don't. And I also never realised how many people read them and how big of a circulation they have. "People read and they believe these things. That's why they're doing what they do, and I am some source of interest to them. I don't know why." (News/Lisa Presley's World, Source; contactmusic.com, 9 April 2005)

Lisa Marie tells all as a last resort to end tiring questions: Lisa Marie Presley agreed to do her most candid interview to date in an effort to stop reporters asking her questions about her teenage drug problems and marriage to troubled singer MICHAEL JACKSON. The rocker signed on to appear in a tell-all about her life on America's BIOGRAPHY CHANNEL in the hope she can finally put her salacious past to rest. In the interview, which aired yesterday, Presley revealed her mother PRISCILLA PRESLEY once kicked her out of her house when she discovered she was meddling with drugs. The rocker says, "It was two o'clock in the morning and I was in hysterics because she kicked me out. I was a lost soul for a while. I had no purpose in my life. I didn't know what I wanted to do with myself." But she states she's tired of talking about her druggy days, insisting the last time she touched drugs was when she was 16: "I haven't touched a drug since then and I'm 37 years old right now... Can we get over this?" Presley also reveals she's tired of answering questions about her marriage to Michael Jackson, adding, "I had to go through what I had to go through. Hopefully we can move on now." (News/Lisa Presley's World, Source: contactmusic.com, 6 April 2005)

Lisa faces tough questionning over ring: Lisa Marie Presleywas left squirming in her seat during a TV interview yesterday (05APR05), when ELLEN DeGENERES tried to coax her into confirming reports she's engaged. Thrice-wed Presley, who is now dating guitarist MICHAEL LOCKWOOD, made an appearance on the comedienne's show to promote her new album NOW WHAT, when she was suddenly confronted with the personal question. DeGeneres said, "Can we talk about Michael, your boyfriend? 'Cause there's a ring, or something." A stunned Presley showed her ring-free hand to back up her denial, but the unconvinced funnygirl countered, "You took it off!" After trying to question why DeGeneres would assume it to be "that kinda ring", Presley explained, "My stylist decided I shouldn't have any rings 'cause I had an earring in." DeGeneres chose not to accept the explanation and congratulated Presley on her "engagement" anyway. Speculation about Presley's romance heightened in January (05), when Presley was spotted wearing a ring at JOHNNY RAMONE's memorial service. (News, Source: contactmusic.com, 6 April 2005)

Lisa pays for foul mouth: LISA MARIE PRESLEY is so foul-mouthed, her teen son imposes a fine on her every time she curses. The LIGHTS OUT singer's daily vocabulary regularly includes bad language and her enterprising son BENJAMIN, 12, has decided to cash in on it. She says, "I had to pay a quarter (25 cents). He's a very wealthy little child!" (News, Source: ContactMusic.com, 6 April 2005)

Fight breaks out at Presley gig: Lisa Marie Presley's recent California concert erupted into chaos, after a frisky man sparked a huge fight in the crowd. The Lights Out singer was performing at Anaheim's House of Blues late last month and wasn't sure what to do when she saw the melee break out as she entertained the crowd. She says, "It was song two and I always thought (before this), 'I'll stop the show and say knock if off, because I don't like that.' "Then I realised if you do that, the whole place will get involved so it's not a good idea. It was not fun. Some guy grabbed the wrong girl's butt." (News, Source: Contact Music/Sanja Meegin, 5 April 2005)

Lisa Marie debuts latest CD: When it comes to performing, Lisa Marie Presley concedes that she's not a chip off the old block. Elvis' daughter tells the San Francisco Chronicle that, unlike dear old dad, she wasn't born to rock. "When I first started playing live, there were some natural elements, but my discomfort level tipped the scale," says Presley, 37, whose second CD, "What Now," is due out today. "The thing with me is, I'm not vain and I don't want attention on me. But you need to be front and center onstage. You have to want attention, and I had to really find my way with being OK with that." Her new CD features a collaboration with Pink and a cover of Don Henley's '80s hit "Dirty Laundry." Her debut album, "To Whom It May Concern," was released in 2003. "There's not a large market for this kind of music on the radio going on right now. ... So I don't know. Last time, I was pushed into the Top 40 thing, and that's not my demographic. I think that was a mistake." (News, Source: San Francisco Chronicle, 5 April 2005)

Presley releases second album: Elvis Presley's daughter, Lisa Marie is getting ready to release her second album, Now What. The LP daughter is a collection of ten new songs, plus a remake of a song penned and first recorded more than twenty years. The first single, Dirty Laundry is a remake of the well-known Don Henley song criticising the media for exploiting

tragedy for the sake of getting good ratings. Presley wrote the lyrics for the rest of the songs, getting guidance from music producer Linda Perry - former lead singer of the band Four Non-Blondes. She collaborated with the likes of singer Pink, and former Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones on the songs Shine and Idiot respectively. The song, When You Go is in part dedicated to punk icon Johnny Ramone, who died while the album was being produced. (News/Lisa Presley's World, Source: channel4news.com, 1 April 2005)

A message from Lisa Presley: "(Warning! Ok, now I am going to get sappy and emotional) To all of the fans that I made along the way from the last record: I don't know that I necessarily LOVE having my ass on the public frying pan of the world. YOU are the reason I shall keep it burning for a while longer. YOU are what made it all worthwhile the last time and YOU are what made me do it again. You wanted more, so here it is. I can't thank you enough...For allowing my music and words to affect your lives, THAT is what music is for, that is why I did a record in the first place. The song "Thanx" (one of the few nice uplifting songs I've ever written lol:) was inspired by and written for certain people who I am very close to in my life, people I feel I live my life with, people who will always be there, YOU were a part of that inspiration, so that one is for you. This record is for YOU. Love always, ~LMP". (News, Source: Official Lisa Presley site, 1 April 2005)

Lisa Marie says 'I'm never fat': Lisa Marie Presley hates the public fixation on her weight, especially when tabloids doctor photographs to make her look huge. The rocker daughter of Elvis Presley insists she hovers around the 180 pound (81.6 kilograms) mark when she's at her heaviest but she's made to look like a blimp by the sleaziest publications, especially when her career is going well. Appearing on Oprah Winfrey's daytime show in America earlier this week, she said,
"When I was on my first tour the record was doing well, so they were p**sed off and they didn't have any other route to go but go, 'OK, so we're gonna make her look like what became of her father...' It was this whole campaign. "They'd (newspaper bosses) actually put the most unflattering (photos) on the cover... and then they actually took my car out of a photo and made my dress and my face as big as the car and it was on the cover. "I was sitting there going, 'How can they actually doctor this and get away with it?' "They love it; they're so honed in on that right now. It's sick and pathetic and I hate it and it causes women to have a lot of problems." (News/LisaPresley's World, Source: contactmusic.com, March 2005)

Lisa Presley pays tribute to her parents on her new CD: LISA MARIE PRESLEY's new album NOW WHAT is full of tributes to her parents, ELVIS and PRISCILLA including one song, RAVEN, which always makes her mother cry. The rocker admits she wrote the song after finally coming to terms with her relationship with her mother two years ago (03). She says, "(It's about) the evolution of her and me. It came to me; the chorus locked into the lyrics and got emotional and I figure I was on to something when I do that. "It's taken a long time for us to bond... We're so the opposite of each other... She's got a china shop and I'm the bull that comes in. "I'm more abrasive, she's very poised and the way she is and I am the way I am and I think that just couldn't find a way to blend or exist. "I feel like she wanted me to go to college and marry a lawyer or a doctor.... I think she wanted me to absolutely avoid singing... and I didn't turn out or come close to anything that she had in mind." The new CD, released next week (05APR05) also features a sleeve dedication to Lisa-Marie's famous parents, which reads, "For my beautiful mother and father... Each of us have pioneered unusual, imperfect lives and challenges and we're still an eternal unit, never broken and I love and appreciate you two so very much it could bury me alive." (News, Source: Sanja Meegin/contactmusic.com, 31 March 2005)

Priscilla hid gifts Elvis gave Lisa Marie: Priscilla Presley used to hide expensive and inappropriate treats her estranged husband gave her daughter Lisa Marie, so that people wouldn't poke fun at the youngster. The German-born socialite upset her daughter time and again by taking away gifts her father had bought her--because they weren't the kind of things a little girl should have. Presley recalls, "He gave her a fur coat that was a mink coat and she brought it home. I think he gave it to her for her birthday and I said, 'You're not wearing this. This is not for you. You're five years old.' "I called him up and I said, 'What are you doing?' It was just too much. "Even though a child doesn't put a lot on it, others put a lot on it. The comments from other people: 'Oh my God, she has this, she has that,' that really bothered me. "I would take things and put it in the closet... He gave her a little diamond ring one time when she was about six-years-old. I would take that. She'd love it and then she'd forget about it." Lisa Presley all loved up on tour with ex-husband and boyfriend: LISA MARIE PRESLEY has convinced her first husband DANNY KEOUGH to join her on tour. The bass player, who is the father of Presley's two children, has been reluctant to team up with his ex, but has now accepted the role of her musical sidekick on the road. Presley says, "I tried to get him on the first record but he wouldn't have anything to do with it. I think he just didn't want it to look like he needed to be associated with me to do anything. "I was like, 'Get over it, you're a great bass player. It'll be great if you're on the road,' 'cos he's also my best friend." Presley will be totally loved up on the road - her new boyfriend, MICHAEL LOCKWOOD, is the rocker's guitarist. (News/Lisa Presley's World, Source: contactmusic.com, 30 March 2005)

Presley dishes about marriage to Jackson: Lisa Marie Presley aired her "Dirty Laundry" on "Oprah." In the first of a two-part interview on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" to promote her new album, Presley spoke Monday about her brief marriage to Michael Jackson, who is on trial in Santa Maria, Calif., on child molestation charges. She told Winfrey that her marriage to Jackson, which lasted from 1994 to 1996, was real. "Do you think that he loved you as much as he could?" the talk-show host asked. "Yes, as much as he was capable of loving somebody," Presley replied. (They famously opened the 1994 MTV Video Music Awards by exchanging a long kiss.) In a "PrimeTime Live" interview with the couple in 1995, Presley told ABC's Diane Sawyer that anyone who questioned their relationship could "Eat it!" When Winfrey asked if she felt that Jackson had used her, Presley replied, "All signs point to `yes' on that. I can't answer for him." Presley, the daughter of Elvis, claimed she was uncomfortable talking about Jackson, at one point exclaiming: "This seat is hot!" The 37-year-old singer made similar comments about her former husband while promoting her 2003 debut album, describing the relationship to The Associated Press as more "toxic" than her other relationships. Then, she told the AP: "I don't want to bash him. I don't hate him, I don't have any of that going on." (News/Lisa Presley's World, Source: AP)

Presley great friends with Nic Cage: Rocker Lisa Marie Presley and ex-husband Nicolas Cage have become the best of friends after looking at their disastrous 180-day marriage from a distance. The couple split in 2004 after a lover's tiff, leaving friends and fans convinced they'd always hate each other, but Presley insists nothing could be further from the truth. She says, "We were two pirates... You can't have two pirates. "That was not a fun time for either of us. He did redeem himself in the end and we did become very good friends after that and we're better like that, and (now) he's happily married and has a baby coming now, which is great. We're fine." Presley admits she should have known the marriage was doomed because she couldn't see herself living happily ever after with the movie star. She adds, "I had a bad, bad habit, which no one else should have... where I didn't think like that. I was caught up in some whirlwindy sort of romantic idea. "That's why I've made as many mistakes as I have." (Source: contactmusic.com, 29 March 2005)

Presley will reveal all on OPRAH WINFREY's daytime US talk show on Monday and Tuesday (28+29MAR05). A cagey Presley simply nods and says "yeah" when Winfrey asks her to confirm the rumours about the end of her short marriage. She then tells the host, "I was upset, anyway..." In-debt Lisa Marie sells most of Elvis' estate: Lisa Marie Presley is keeping Graceland but selling the bulk of the Elvis estate, including rights to her father's name and image, in a deal worth approximately $100 million. The Associated Press reports that Elvis Presley Enterprises Inc. announced an agreement Thursday to sell 85 percent of its assets to businessman Robert F.X. Sillerman, founder of music and sports promoter SFX Entertainment. But why sell an estate that brings in $45 million a year for $100 million? Lisa Marie has $25 million in debts (of which she will be absolved under this deal) but on the face of it, the sale doesn't seem like a bright move. At least she gets $20 million in shares of the new company formed to run the estate. "For the past few years, I've been looking for someone to join forces with to expand the many facets of (Elvis Presley Enterprises), to take it to new levels internationally and to make it an even greater force in the entertainment industry," Presley said in a statement. Fans of Graceland tours note: The 650,000 visitors a year will still be welcome. (News/Comment, Source: Seattlepi.com, 24 Dec 2004)

55% of voters "disagree" with Lisa Presley's decision to sell EPE: According to a message on the For Elvis CD Collectors Only messageboard, CNN.com ran an online poll which resulted in 55% of voters saying Lisa's decision to sell EPE was the wrong one. (News, Source: For Elvis CD Collectors Only, 22 Dec 2004)

Is Graceland closing?: In the wake of Lisa Presley's decision to sell majority ownership in EPE to Robert Sillerman, Elvis messageboards and email groups have lit up with an array of doomsady and conspiracy type stories. One is that Graceland will soon close. This is the official longstanding statement from the EPE website: "No. Absolutely not. Graceland opened to the public in 1982. Every year or every few months or so since then, some tabloid writer or other mischief maker somewhere in the world has invented a story saying that Graceland will be closing. Sometimes these stories find their way into more mainstream news media in some countries. The stories tend to say that the reason for the closing is that Elvis Presley's daughter Lisa is moving into Graceland or that she is selling it. Closing or selling Graceland has never been a consideration. Any stories to the contrary are pure fiction. Graceland will be open for generations to come." (News, Source: EPE, 20 Dec 2004)

A Personal Note from Lisa Marie Presley: Hello and Happy Holidays! I would like to further clarify and ease any weary minds (if there are any about the recent business announcement). First off, companies merge all the time and while it is true that EPE has been successfully holding its own for 25 years, myself, my mother and the board came to realize that in order to take the business to a whole different level, merging with another provenly successful team would accomplish that. The search for the right person has been going on for years, none of us at EPE would have done this if it weren't in the best interest of my father and his legacy. No stone was left unturned in making sure that business will be run as it historically has been, with integrity, always preserving and protecting my father. The executives, my mother and myself remain very active in the operations of Graceland and its entities. What is and has been done will remain, and merging with Bob Sillerman and his team simply gives us new opportunities that we didn't have before. Business-wise any company can always grow, what is predominately sacred and can never be touched is Graceland itself and its contents and artifacts and that is and remains mine and my family's forever. Frankly, we are all united and excited about this and I send my best wishes to you and yours for the holidays. Much love, LMP (News, Source: lisapresley.com/EPE, 18 Dec 2004)

The three-times married rocker, who has two kids by first husband Danny Keough, claims to have found real love with the songwriter after toying with romance with Keough, Michael Jackson and Nicolas Cage. Presley says, "I can actually say that Michael is the first person I've really thought about this way, 'Oh, this is what love is.' "I want to get old with him. I would be there if he were sick. I would have children with him. I adore him." (News, Source: contactmusic.com, 17 Dec 2004)

Lisa Marie's Mortality Reminder: According to a report in Contact.music, rocker Lisa Marie Presley can't bear to spend time at her late dad Elvis' Graceland grave - because there's a space reserved for her right next to him. The 36-year-old fears she'll follow her father and grandmother, Gladys, and die in her 40s, and then spend eternity lying beneath the grounds of the Memphis, Tennessee, estate her father called home. She says, "How many people are reminded of their fate, their mortality every day? "All the graves are lined up and there's a spot there - waiting for me - right next to my grandmother." Graceland also features the graves of Elvis' father Vernon and his grandmother Minnie Mae. Lisa Marie adds, "I'm sure I'll end up there. Or, I shrink my head and put it in a glass box in the living room." (News, Source: Contact Music/email, 30 Oct 2004)

How to get access to Elvis' bedroom at Graceland: According to a post on the Elvis Collectors messageboard, getting access to Elvis' bedroom at Graceland is as tough as getting access to Fort Knox. Only Lisa and Priscilla have unfettered access and other EPE officials must formally apply for access. If access is granted a tough set of protocols is enforced. (News, Source: Elvis-Collectors.com)

Lisa Marie Presley to marry again?: A number of websites are saying that Lisa Marie Presley will shortly marry her band guitarist and record producer, Michael Lockwood. Both Lisa's own website and elvis.com (Graceland) are currently silent about the claim. Meanwhile, Lisa's second album is now slated for release in March 2005. (News, Source: Various, 21 Oct 2004)

Lisa Marie Presley bans artificial scents: Lisa Presley is such a big fan of natural scents, she has banned all forms of air fresheners from being in her presence whenever she performs. The LIGHTS OUT singer, daughter of legendary rocker ELVIS PRESLEY, forbids scented candles, potpourri and even air fresheners backstage, according to website THE SMOKING GUN. Among the items allowed backstage are sushi and vegan hot dogs. (News, Source: ContactMusic/The Smoking Gun, 12 Sep 2004)

Graceland for sale?: Sid Shaw's latest Elvis cyberalert suggests rumors are again circulating that Lisa Presley wants to sell Graceland and EPE, with a reported asking price of US$350 million. The rationale for selling Graceland and the EPE franchise would be concerns that older fans won't be around much longer and receipts are likely to diminish in future years. With fan numbers much less than anticipated at this years "50th Anniversary of That's All Right/Birth of Rock & Roll" Elvis Week some alarm

bells may be ringing. Apart from a potential big 3oth anniversary Elvis Week in 2007 EPE may continue to experience slim pickings at other times. (Elvis News, Source: Sid Shaw, 29 Aug 2004)

Police To Quiz Lisa Marie Over Michael Jackson: Cops in the US want to question Lisa Marie Presley after she revealed she had seen "things" while she was married to Michael Jackson. During an interview in Australia on Andrew Denton's top rating program 'Enough Rope'. Lisa is in Australia promoting her new album as part of her To Whom It May Conncern tour. While talking to Denton she hinted that she might have seen Jackson act in an improper way. According to the Daily Mirror, the 35-year-old recalled, "seeing things going on that I couldn't do anything about." But she refused to elaborate on what she had seen: "Don't ask me what sort of things because I'm not going to answer...it's just stuff." One day later Lisa Marie clarified the remarks she made on TV, saying she never saw ex-husband Michael Jackson engage in inappropriate behaviour with children. The daughter of legend Elvis Presley married Jackson in 1994 and the couple split just 20 months later. Jackson is charged with seven acts of lewd and lascivious behaviour with a minor and administering an intoxicating agent. In January he pleaded not guilty to all charges. Santa Barbara police will question Lisa when she returns from her trip.
