FTD - What now, What next, Where to – What’s left?: During Elvis’ lifetime, RCA released a total of between 60 – 70 albums, consisting of dedicated recordings, movie soundtracks and live performances.
The FTD label has been doing an excellent job at looking at the recording anthology of Elvis Presley and releasing every significant LP or recording session on a 1CD or 2CD ‘Classic Album’ version.
However as noted with the recent "ELVIS" second LP release there are less and less outtakes and studio sessions left in the vaults.
FTD’s first release was ‘Burbank ’68’ fifteen years ago, so with all the past releases and packaging what is left for the collector?

FTD "What now, What next, What If?": The FTD label has been doing an excellent job at looking at the recording anthology of Elvis Presley and releasing every significant LP or recording session on a 1CD or 2CD ‘Classic Album’ version.
However, as noted with the recent "ELVIS" second LP release, there are less and less outtakes and studio sessions left in the vaults.
Following our previous article “What now, what next, where to – what’s left” where EIN contributor Ian Garfield reviewed what has already been released by FTD, he now looks at how FTD might present their future 'Classic Album' releases.
Over the next couple of weeks, EIN will cover the remaining movie soundtracks and the possible inclusions that could produce a suitable release for the avid collector for these recordings.

'The Best of The '68 Comeback Special' New CD Release: The new companion album to NBC's "Elvis All-Star Tribute" titled 'The Best of The '68 Comeback Special' will be released worldwide by RCA/Legacy Recordings on February 15, 2019.
Described as "An ideal set for long time Elvis fans and newcomers, 'The Best of The '68 Comeback Special' comprises the Elvis recordings and performances that inspired the upcoming tribute and showcases a new version of the legendary closing number, "If I Can Dream" as heard in the new special - featuring Elvis' original vocals alongside new performances by Carrie Underwood, Shawn Mendes, Post Malone, Darius Rucker and Blake Shelton. The album features 15 Elvis performances from the "stand-up" and "sit-down" shows filmed for the '68 broadcast, plus three original studio recordings (A Little Less Conversation, Suspicious Minds, Burning Love) to represent other songs that appear in the new special.
The original special, recorded over several sessions in June 1968, featured Elvis playing the songs that mattered most to him, in his first live performance since 1961. When it aired on December 3, 1968, the special was the week's highest-viewed television program, re-establishing Elvis as a driving force in popular music.

Three New FTD Releases: FTD have announced three new release for next month, a 1974 double-soundboard, special double-VINYL of 'Kissin Cousins' and new photo book of Elvis in 1956.


- "ELVIS: St. Paul to Wichita - October '74".
Released as a 5" digipack, and taken from the original soundboard source, this 2-CD set features Elvis in excellent form from the fall tour of 1974.
Elvis' 1974 September / October tour saw him on a post Desert-Storm emotional and physical roller-coaster. Some shows were particularly poor. However FTD promise that "Elvis was in great form and using a variety of repertoire."


Neither show has previously been released, even on bootleg, so it will be very interesting to discover how Elvis performed these nights.

FTD/ Flaming Star will issue a following up from the excellent 'Rebel With a Cause' and 'The Wild One' in 2018, with 'Through the Lens of Phillip Harrington'. The book includes more than 350 photos, with over 150 unpublished from the original negatives of Phillip Harrington.
A bonus CD features Elvis live at Robinson Memorial Auditorium, Little Rock, Arkansas, May 16, 1956.

This legendary album released in 1959 while Elvis was serving his time for the US Army in Germany, now features bonus tracks including RADIO and TV performances from the ‘50s and the quality highlights from the recently discovered Bad Nauheim German home recordings.
Great performances from the Milton Berle Show, Stage Show and the Steve Allen Show are complemented by intimate recordings of Are You Lonesome Tonight, His Hand In Mine and He Knows What I Need.
Released in 7” gatefold format it also contains a 16-page booklet. FOR LP FANS ONLY was nominated for best album art of 1959.

'What Now My Love' consists of the Midnight Shows on August 11 and 12 1972 . Between Madison Square Garden and Aloha From Hawaii, the Elvis Presley Show was at its peak!
Elvis is in top form with both new and old songs in his repertoire, and especially with the addition of 3 great new songs, “What Now My Love,” “Fever” and “My Way.” In an effort to find the right style for each arrangement, Elvis totally commits himself to each performance.

'ELVIS: “Holiday Season In Vegas 1975' Disc 2: EIN contributor "Ciscoking" has compared audience recordings from the Dec 6, 1975 Diner and Midnight Shows to reveal how FTD have compiled the second disc of their new 'Holiday Season in Las Vegas 1975'
The CD features the two concerts not edited but instead spliced mid-concert, presumably due to only portions of the shows being recorded or due to tape damage.

'The King In The Ring' VINYL 50th Anniv Release: The 50th anniversary of Elvis Presley's groundbreaking 1968 NBC "Comeback Special" is also being celebrated with the 2LP vinyl presentation of "The King In The Ring." Originally released on a red vinyl limited edition run for Record Store Day this 2LP set showcases the standout, intimate "sit down" sets from the '68 special. These laid-back live performances were recorded in the round before a small audience and featured a powerful ensemble, including guitarist Scotty Moore and drummer D.J. Fontana, both part of Elvis' original classic backing band.

The VINYL Boom: Over 7.6 million vinyl LPs were sold in the USA during the first half of 2018, a 20% increase from the previous year, while in Australia vinyl sales increased by $3 million, the same increase of 20%. In the same period CD sales however dropped by 15%.
Elvis vinyl is still selling very nicely with ‘ELV1S: 30 #1 Hits’ recently in the UK Top ten VINYL charts.

... What is there to say about Elvis Presley that hasn’t already been said?
It may be 41 years since the icon died tragically at only 42 years old but his music continues to live on, and likely will forever. It’s actually mind-blowing to think that his music has survived for almost as long as he was alive. In 2002 Sony Music released a new greatest hits collection titled ELV1S: 30 #1 Hits, which dominated charts across the world and sold millions and millions of copies. 16 years on from its original release, ELV1S: 30 #1 Hits has been reissued on 2LP vinyl.
Taking inspiration from the album cover, the release has been pressed on gold vinyl making the whole package feel very special.
Presley was an incredibly prolific artist so getting this collection down to 31 tracks was no easy feat. It also includes the ALLC Junkie XL remix.
 What was achieved with ELV1S: 30 #1 Hits though, is a
collection that gives you all the highlights you need from The King’s career to showcase the incredible impact he had on music. The album opens with Heartbreak Hotel and there isn’t a single filler track here.
It’s actually near impossible to pick out highlights across the 2LPs because every single one of these songs is a classic.
Of course no Elvis collection would be complete without Suspicious Minds and that track is near the end of the track listing on the final side.
The release features the artwork from the original 2002 release and it’s a beautiful, high-quality gatefold. I mentioned earlier about the gold vinyl but what I’ve not commented on yet is the sound. The CD version was a little patchy given that the songs were all recorded at different times. It’s not as noticeable on the vinyl release and the quality is crystal clear. The warm crackle of vinyl adds to the overall feel too.
ELV1S: 30 #1 Hits is a must-have release for any Elvis Presley fan. While he had plenty of great songs that aren’t featured here, this collection truly is the definitive one to own. There’s not a single bad song here and it’s lengthy enough to give you value for money. The whole vinyl package is fantastic and it looks as good as it sounds.
They don’t make artists like Elvis anymore and they probably never will again.

Priced at around US$150 and £95.40 in the UK.

Not cheap if you already own the DVDs and CD box-set but the Blu-Rays are still pretty tempting.

'68 Comeback Special - 50th-anniversary': More publicity out for the new box set.
... '68 Comeback Special (50th Anniversary Edition) is set for release on November 30 and includes five CDs of music plus two Blu-ray discs featuring video content.
After spending most of the decade in Hollywood making forgettable movies and mostly boring music to accompany those films, Presley staged a comeback in 1968 with a TV special that was simply called Elvis and aired on Dec. 3.
Part of that program featured Presley singing some of his old hits, as well as a few new songs, surrounded by a lavish, Hollywood-style backdrop. But another section of that show spotlighted Presley, decked out in black leather and armed with a guitar, sitting on a stool on a spare stage that also included guitarist Scotty Moore and drummer D.J. Fontana, two-thirds of the trio that catapulted Presley to fame in the mid '50s with their work on the Sun sessions and early RCA recordings.
That "sit-down" performance included raw takes of some of their best records, including "That's All Right" and "Heartbreak Hotel."
There were also scorching versions of "Baby, What You Want Me to Do" and "Lawdy, Miss Clawdy" that pretty much signalled Presley's return to rock 'n' roll.
The Comeback Special, as it was later called, opened the door to Presley's terrific Memphis records from 1969 and his renewed success in the '70s until his death in 1977.
The '68 Comeback Special (50th Anniversary Edition) collects all of the existing audio and video from the show plus rehearsals and sessions recorded with the Wrecking Crew.

'50th Anniversary NBC Special Box-Set CD Details': Although still not officially announced by SONY the tracklists of the new 5CD boxset have been confirmed. The disappointment to many collectors is that the five CDs in this special re-release comprise of the 4 CDs from the SONY/BMG 2008 'The Complete '69 Comeback Special' plus CD2 'The Wrecking Crew Sessions' from the FTD 'ELVIS: Original Soundtrack Recording'.
These releases were top-notch releases when they first were released Mixed & Mastered by Vic Anesini / Sebastian Jeansson - but do we need to buy them again?
The draw-card to collectors is the 88 page booklet plus the upgraded BluRay video presentations - albeit a compromise as the original NBC Special was of course recorded as 525 NTSC standard definition TV.
The Sony release of 5-CD/2-BluRay boxset to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1968 TV Special is out November 2018.

‘Where No One Stands Alone’ In-Depth Review: It is forty years since Elvis Presley entered a recording studio and he seems very reluctant to record anything new. So in terms of releasing a "new" album of Elvis material the topic has always been a tricky one. After commercial failure of the last Elvis / RPO album that concept has been dropped in favour of an Andy Childs led “Re-Vamp” of some Elvis Gospel.
Recorded over fifty years ago there is no doubt that some of Elvis’ Gospel songs might benefit from some sensitive modern production. And, after all, there is an interesting selection of tracks to work with. Not only that, but Lisa Marie was also involved in the recording.
So can a new ‘Re-Vamp’ of Elvis Gospel really work and can we recommend it to Elvis collectors?

'Saved' "new" Gospel Album taster: First sample from the "new" Gospel album, featuring the fabulous Darlene Love (NBC special) it is 'Saved'.
The album 'Elvis Presley - Where No One Stands Alone' features 14 original performances of gospel songs with newly recorded instrumentation and backing vocals, all in support of Elvis' original lead vocal recordings.
"Saved" is an energetic gospel-rock call-and-response tune with some fun rhythmic twists, sassy lyrics and Darlene Love jumping in on background vocals. And in classic Elvis fashion, the king testifies as he gives up his errant ways.
Love, who first sang with Elvis on his 1968 NBC TV special, shares, "I had the honor to perform a terrific version of Jerry Leiber and Mike Stroller's 'Saved' on the popular ABC TV show Shindig in 1965 with The Blossoms. Though we never recorded it officially it predates Elvis' version which I sang background vocals for with the group."
Elvis once said, "Since I was 2 years old, all I knew was gospel music. It became such a part of my life, it was as natural as dancing. A way to escape my problems, and my way of release." We can feel the glory!

The 28 page booklet includes rare photographs, memorabilia, session data, Movie Trivia, Ann-Margret bio by the late Stuart Colman and Movie overview by Alan Hanson.
The 3 CDs are housed in a CD carrier adorned by original tape box documentation.

Produced by Joel Weinshanker, Lisa Marie Presley and Andy Childs, "Where No One Stands Alone" introduces newly-recorded instrumentation and backing vocal contributions from music legends who'd performed on-stage and/or in-the-studio with Elvis. It also includes a reimagined duet with Elvis and his daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, on the album's title track and spiritual touchstone.
"It was a very powerful and moving experience to sing with my father," wrote Lisa Marie in her notes for the album. "The lyrics speak to me and touch my soul. I'm certain that the lyrics spoke to my father in much the same way."

Background vocalists on the album include: Darlene Love (who first sang with Elvis on his 1968 NBC television special); Dr. Emily "Cissy" Houston (who, with The Sweet Inspirations, sang with Elvis on-stage beginning in 1969); Terry Blackwood, Armond Morales and Jim Murray (members of The Imperials, who sang on Elvis' How Great Thou Art - with the title song winning the 1967 Grammy for Best Sacred Performance); and Donnie Sumner, Bill Baize, Ed Hill and Larry Strickland (members of longtime backup group, The Stamps).

'Where No One Stands Alone' New SONY release: There have been rumours going around about Lisa Marie working with the Elvis/RPO producers and recording a new Elvis / Lisa Marie duet.
This is one of the likely reasons Lisa Marie has such prominence in the 2018 Elvis week celebrations.
'Where No One Stands Alone' - Elvis "new" re-imagined Gospel CD (as first noted by EIN back in 2016!) has now been unofficially announced - and with a release date of August 10th 2018

Two New FTD releases: FTD has announced two new releases for early June 2018.
- 'ELVIS: OFF - ON STAGE' single CD 7" digipack.
This 1CD set features Elvis in great form from his legendary shows in February 1970 at the International Hotel, Las Vegas.
The album is a compilation of tracks from various performances. Twelve tracks are unreleased performances while 4 are newly remixed tracks.
On a positive note Bob Lanning Elvis' drummer at the shows and author /concert producer Arjan Deelen were both involved with FTD on this collection.
As a 7" digipack it should be a fine addition to our collection.

COME ON FTD! Let's Speed Things Up A Little!: EIN has very strongly supported the FTD label from the start even though their quality control has slipped at times.
Recently this seems to have got worse, perhaps due to the producers Ernst Jorgensen and Roger Semon's extra work with mainstream SONY releases.
The last couple of FTD live soundboards have notably run slow dragging down the pace of Elvis' performance. This has also been an issue on some previous concert releases.
On ELVIS LAS VEGAS '74' FTD the dates were wrong with the two shows reversed from what the cover indicated.
Do FTD collectors deserve better or should we be happy to have anything released with faults and all?

EIN review ‘Elvis: The Searcher’ Deluxe CD boxset: If your main interest in Elvis is his music then HBO’s ‘Elvis: The Searcher’ will probably become your favourite documentary ever produced about our hero.
The companion 3-CD deluxe edition box set offers an expanded 55-track overview of Elvis’ career as heard in the film including familiar hit recordings, powerful vocal performances and rare outtakes plus a bonus disc of additional recordings relevant to the film - including several early singles that inspired Elvis.
Thom Zimny said, "To live with the music of The Searcher over a period of years was more than a privilege. It changed my thinking about the emotional life of songs, both for those who make them and those who listen to them."
While keen Elvis fans may already own all the chosen songs Director Thom Zimny's selection is so eclectic that there is still plenty to enjoy and discover. But does the box-set really work without having seen the film?

'Elvis: Murfreesboro '74'' FTD In-Depth Review: March 1974 was Elvis' ninth tour of the US and included twenty-five performances in under 3 weeks. Freed from the constraints of the Las Vegas Hilton casino crowd, Elvis was in fine form and putting on great shows. The new FTD double-CD features Elvis' two Murfreesboro shows March 14 and March 19 (the penultimate concert before 'Live In Memphis') from this 1974 tour.

FTD have already released four concerts from this tour, the Tulsa March 1 Opening Show, the Memphis March 17 Evening show, the Richmond March 18 concert plus the RCA recorded 'Live In Memphis' March 20 Closing Night.
So do we really need yet another two 1974 soundboards from this March tour? Well, well, well.. the answer is a definite YES!

'Murfreesboro '74' FTD will be One of the Best!: Elvis' March 1974 tour was one of the strongest of the year and FTD have already released four concerts from that tour, including the famous Memphis show.
But if you are considering that you don't need yet another 2 concerts from that tour, then Reconsider-Baby as FTD contributor Robert Frieser notes that these are two of Elvis' best performances from 1974.
.. The two Murfreesboro shows from March 14th and especially March 19 can be seen as the highlight of the March tour.
These shows can be seen as a prelude to the famous record recording of March 20 in Memphis, the recording of which Elvis received a grammy award for his rendition of How Great Thou Art, counts as one of the best shows of 1974.
The Tour had highlights such as the Tulsa Shows, Houston Astrodome shows but also the Roanoke and Richmond shows were top notch.
The tour was actually a 15 day tour but because of the speed with which the tickets were sold out, more shows were booked.
 
Elvis who had not toured since July 1973 had first completed a fully booked season in Las Vegas in January & February of 1974. At those shows in Las Vegas there was quite some criticism in the media, but that criticism faded with the shows he did in March. The shows were highly professional and alternating his voice and show attitude was good.
The show of March 14th is a very cool show, vocally Elvis is in top form. During Love Me Tender Elvis is irritated by the feedback. And Elvis asks Felton to do something about the sound. Polk salad Annie is a top version and on Why Me Lord he does the last part of the song again. At the end of Suspicious Minds he does a one-liner of Take These Chains. For Charlie Hodge it's a special evening, Elvis told the audience that the parents of Charlie Hodge are in the audience and therefore he does a duet with Charlie on Help Me.
The sound of the show is of a good sound quality. So we have something to enjoy, Elvis is in good shape and gives people value for their money but the highlight of this release is the show on March 19th. The show of Richmond a day earlier was already a top show and Elvis was pretty loose and in his element.
The show in Murfreesboro is even better, this is because it's the end of the tour and maybe the looking forward of the Memphis record recording, that Elvis keeps getting better and better.

In this show Elvis has even more fun and Elvis is even more loose and vocally even better.This show features a powerhouse performance of Steamroller Blues and also during the introductions, Elvis takes the time to thank Ramada Inn for the good care of the group. before Help Me, Elvis tells us that the song was written by Larry Gaitlin. Sadly the tape ends 40 seconds into Mystery Train. This show was the best show of the tour. A professional show with Elvis very much at ease.
These shows have been on the wish list by ftd for a long time.

... 1974 was the year when US President Richard Nixon resigned live on national TV (following the Watergate scandal); it marked the end of a worldwide oil embargo; Muhammad Ali won, by a knock-out in 8 rounds, the ‘Rumble in the Jungle’ fight in Zaire with the then undefeated heavyweight champion, George Foreman. ‘Waterloo’ was the winning song during the Eurovision Song Contest, launching Swedish group ABBA on their stellar global career; Happy Days also made its American TV debut. The series presented an idealized vision of life in the mid-1950s to the mid-1960s and its popularity was partly due to the success of the 1974 movie American Graffiti that brought Bill Haley back in to the charts with his 1955 classic song ‘Rock Around The Clock’.
As far as Elvis was concerned, the unsurpassed success of Aloha From Hawaii in 1973 raised his popularity to an unprecedented height in 1974, as he was awarded a special ‘Trendsetter Award’ from Billboard magazine on February 9th. Compilation vinyl albums flooded the market - not only from Elvis (Elvis Forever, 40 Greatest Hits, etc.) but also other artists from the golden eras of the 1950s and ’60s like Bill Haley, James Brown, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry and Little Richard - and the year marked the 20th anniversary of Elvis’ recording career. It was his busiest year since the 1950s: apart from his touring commitments, he played two month-long Las Vegas seasons (in January and August) alongside two Lake Tahoe (Stateline, Nevada) gigs in May and October.
Yet while most of the artists from the 1950s were relics from the past, Elvis stood on his own as a very successful solo artist with a very busy touring schedule throughout the USA (whereas most other artists mentioned were performing at small Rock ’n’ Roll Revival shows touring the entire world). Elvis performed as the biggest act in Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe and could easily compete with top bands like Led Zeppelin, The Who, Fleetwood Mac and The Eagles, or individual artists like Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan and Frank Sinatra, who also performed in the larger venues in the USA. Elvis could have played to fan-packed stadiums around the world also, but he (and his management) decided to stay within the US borders. Thus, a major opportunity for expanding his popularity even more - a year after the worldwide Aloha From Hawaii TV Special - was lost forever. 1974 may have been the perfect year to do shows overseas.
His first tour of the year started on March 1st in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Elvis performed two shows: an evening performance (March 1st) and an afternoon performance (March 2nd). It was his longest tour so far. It had been planned as a 15-day tour but, due to the high demand for tickets, more shows were added in Tulsa, Charlotte, Murfreesboro, Richmond and Memphis. Twenty-four concerts in 20 days! The fast ticket sales made Elvis’ management decide to record one of the concerts from this tour. At first the idea was to record a show from the Livestock Rodeo in Houston, Texas, but it was Elvis himself who came up with the idea to record a concert in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee. The subsequent vinyl album Elvis Recorded Live On Stage In Memphis was released during the June tour in 1974.

Elvis 'The Searcher' Hits & Rarities Soundtrack: Rolling Stone has run a short news piece for the up-coming The Searcher release.
An expansive soundtrack Elvis Presley: The Searcher, will be released April 6th. The soundtrack features a mix of Elvis hits and alternate mixes, while a deluxe edition will feature selections from the documentary's score composed by Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready.
The Searcher soundtrack will be available digitally and on CD and double vinyl LP, while the deluxe edition will packaged as a three-CD set. All versions are available to pre-order.
Along with the original soundtrack and parts of Pearl Jam's Mike McCread's score, the deluxe edition of The Searcher soundtrack will include a plethora of bonus material including additional rarities, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' rendition of "Wooden Heart" and classic R&B, country and gospel songs that inspired Elvis.
The set will also come with a 40-page hardcover book packed with rare photographs and a note from director Thom Zimny.
Thom Zimny, "From day one I had a soundtrack in mind; one that would cover Elvis in a new way and go deep into the vault. Thanks to the help of Sony Legacy and the efforts of Ernst Jorgensen, I was able to pore over thousands of recordings and Elvis Presley outtakes. I also wanted the film's soundtrack to pay tribute to the many artists who influenced Elvis, and to incorporate their music to create a sonic landscape that I hoped would give the viewer the experiences Elvis had absorbing the many genres he was exposed to and influenced by – from gospel, to R&B, to country."
He added that McCready's score "brought additional sonic textures and emotional overtones that helped to capture this artist's journey."
The Searcher will premiere on HBO April 14th.
The film was made with the cooperation of EPE and Zimny was reportedly allowed unprecedented access to the Graceland archives.

'Kissin' Cousins' FTD Soundtrack Review: The final Elvis movie soundtrack album in FTD's Classic Album series.
Kissin’ Cousins was Elvis’ 14th movie release and it was Elvis' first budget movie production.
The 'Kissin’ Cousins' album was released in April 1964 and it was his lowest charting soundtrack album so far.
About the release UK Fan Club President Albert Hand stated, "Here we have an artiste, the finest in the world, being slowly but surely – as a chart prospect – being killed off inches by inches through sheer stupidity”.
Elvis didn't attend the soundtrack session in Nashville and so there is very little available in studio outtakes. FTD however have discovered some previously unreleased material - along with the session backing tracks.

3 New FTD Releases: FTD today have announced three new releases for the end of this month. A double digipack 1974 previously unreleaed soundboard, the previously announced book/cd 'Rebel With A Cause' plus the double-vinyl “Elvis – The Fool Album”. 
- 'Elvis: Murfreesboro ‘74'.
Released as a 5” digipack, this 2-CD set features Elvis in great form at these two shows on March 14th & 19th 1974 at the Murfreesboro Middle State Tennessee University.
The sound quality and performances from Elvis and the band are really powerful.
“Steamroller Blues” will knock your socks off!.
These two soundboards have never been released before not even on bootleg

'Elvis: The Bicentennial Show' 1976' FTD In-Depth Review: 1976 is not an easy Elvis live-in-concert year to review. There were no major set-list changes, no dramatic "emotional roller-coaster" of 1974 and no high-flying "Huntsville" 1975 excitements. Apart from the exceptional blast of the final December 1976 Tour the year was the inevitable downward spiral.

However there were some highlights along the way and Elvis collectors have always been keen to hear Elvis' July 4th 1976 Bicentennial performance, as well as RCA's Joan Deary's initial choice for the 1980 box-set of Duluth, October 16, 1976. 

As FTD releases two more 1976 soundboards, will Elvis be back on form and are there any surprises in store..

FTD will NOT end in 2019:  A fair number of uninformed supposed Elvis "insiders" (even some Fan Club Presidents) have been publishing fictional stories that the FTD label is planning to close in 2019.
Ernst Jorgensen had strongly denied this story stating, that FTD has plans to continue for the foreseeable future.
In an interesting interview about 'The Future of FTD' - with Trevor Cajiao in the recent ETM&HM magazine - Ernst Jorgensen's main points were....
1. FTD will not be closing in 2019
2. The 'Classic Albums" series is nearly complete but there are more to come, noting 'Aloha' and 'Madison Square Garden' are still to be done.
3. Expanded "complete session tapes" releases are being considered
4. Plenty more soundboards to come

'Elvis: Christmas with The RPO' Goes Top Ten!: The deluxe edition of the new Elvis/RPO Christmas came out on November 24 and at last the TV commercials have started with the album finally doing some true chart action after a terribly disappointing start.

New FTDs 'Kissin' Cousins' & 'The Bicentennial Show': Follow That Dream have announced their next two releases - and the big surprise is the long-awaited release of the 'Kissin' Cousins' Classic Soundtrack Album.
A double soundtrack album from 1976 is also coming out with concerts from 4th July 1976 & October 16th 1976.


- 'Kissin' Cousins'  - As part of its Classic Soundtrack Album series FTD is pleased to announce the release of the original soundtrack album. It features unreleased outtakes, rarities and an informative illustrated 16-page booklet with rare memorabilia, movie trivia and photos. Due to the small amount of existing outtakes (as Elvis didn’t record with the band) it includes instrumental masters recorded at the RCA Studio in Nashville that show the great musicianship of the players.
