Elvis Presley has been honoured by the UK's postal service with a set of four unique Royal Mail stamp sheets.

The stamps are being released to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the birth of rock 'n' roll, which officially took place yesterday (July 5th), which signifies the date Elvis released his first ever single, "That's Alright", on July 5th 1954.

The collection, titled "The Complete Elvis Movie Collection", bear a total of 40 stamps and labels. 31 of the labels feature classic images from each of the films that Elvis made and are in chronological order, starting with "Love Me Tender" in 1956, through to his last film "Change of Habit" in 1969.

Each label also bears Elvis' facsimile signature. These First Editions are all fully approved by Elvis Presley Enterprises and are issued in a worldwide edition of just 2,500 individually numbered sets.
