"Patch It Up" Acetates

Patch It Up Acetates – June 4th – 8th 1970, Studio Sessions & Live Rarities.

A new project for a new label that we hope will be a success with Elvis fans.

MUSIC FOR FANS – would like to afford you the opportunity of listening to a concept album dedicated to the best Elvis studio session of the 1970’s. Instead of providing another compilation in an already over saturated market we present something new, something different and exciting.

We started with a large collection of Elvis acetates and decided to finally do justice to the album ‘Elvis Country.’ With an innovative tracklist we provide a different sound to that provided by the postproduction pieces of Felton Jarvis, a sound that Elvis should have been allowed to enjoy. We feel we have given life to a new Elvis, an Elvis others don’t know.

We see Elvis take shape as musician and producer through 13 studio tracks completely unedited, raw yet musically complete. In addition we have added 14 rarely heard and mostly unedited live tracks that cover all the musical activity of Elvis in the 1970’s. We feel that they give you an idea of the musical evolution of Elvis from August 10th 1970 right up to his last concert in Market Square Arena.

We have supported our ambitious project with an informative and professional 16-page booklet containing rare and unedited shots. The project is the culmination of a lengthy period of pre-production involving research and selection, and the often difficult and delicate phase of restoring, remastering, and remixing of the chosen material. The final result is something we hope even Elvis would have enjoyed.

The song selection and booklet layout are, of course, hugely influenced by our own views on the music of Elvis, we hope your ideas are reflected in some way and that you enjoy our work as this is all we ask.
