Beauty Rides a Lion, Recollections of a Hollywood Starlet is now available on dvd at http://www.myspace.com/beautyridesalion and will premiere at the LA Shorts Festival, Wed. Sept. 6, at 1:15pm at the Arclight in Hollywood.

The documentary follows the life of 50's MGM starlet, Carmen Phillip's, fleeing the Chicago prison system at the age of ten to becoming a star of the silver screen with the leading men of her time, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Warren Beatty.

Beauty Rides a Lion, Recollections of a Hollywood Starlet is a15 minute documentary short screening at the Los Angeles Short’s Film Festival, (the world’s largest short film festival) airing Wednesday, Sept. 6 at 1:15 at the Arclight Theatre. Get a glimpse through 50’s MGM starlet Carmen Phillip’s eyes, of Hollywood at the end of the glamour era. Escaping a prison sentence at the age of 10, Carmen and her mother flee Chicago and end up in Hollywood. With her beauty and screen presence, Carmen went on to star with the leading brat packers of her time. This short film is part of a week long short film festival “Los Angeles Short Film Festival”.
