GRACELAND REVEALED!

New Illustrated Pop-Up Book Celebrates Elvis Presley’s
Historic Mansion in Memphis

The glory of Elvis Presley’s beloved Graceland is celebrated in a new book, GRACELAND: An Interactive Pop-Up Tour (Quirk Books, $40), created by Chuck Murphy with a Foreword by Priscilla Presley, scheduled to hit bookstores in November 2006. (It will also be available at QuirkBooks.com at www.ShopElvis.com and in the gift shops at Graceland.)

Published in cooperation with and officially licensed by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Graceland: An Interactive Pop-Up Tour is a fully llustrated pop-up tribute to one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations.

This keepsake collectible offers an all-access tour of Graceland through the ingenious design of pop-up master Chuck Murphy. The book contains nine different pop-up spreads dedicated to most popular aspects of the famous Mansion, including: the Music Room, Television Room, Jungle Room, Trophy Room, Kitchen, and Meditation Garden.

Each two-page spread features full-color photographs, illustrations, interactive elements, and informative commentary on Elvis’s life in and out of Graceland. Readers can flip through a photo album, browse Elvis’s record collection, change channels on the television, or peek inside the refrigerator.

Elvis Presley bought Graceland in 1957, and lived there until his death in August 1977. Graceland was opened to the public in 1982 and currently serves as a museum, drawing hundreds of thousand of visitors every year. On March 27, 2006, Graceland was designated a National Historic Landmark.

Author Chuck Murphy is one of the most celebrated paper engineers in the country, with more than 60 books to his credit. He’s also a huge Elvis fan, and is available for media interviews.

Priscilla Presley is an actress, author, and businesswoman; she has been instrumental in the development of Graceland since it opened its doors to the public in 1982.
