Australian
media blitz for the 50tgh anniversary of rock & roll
Australian
fans can expect a media blitz next week around the 50th anniversary
of Elvis and the birth of rock and roll. Already we have seen several
articles about Elvis printed in local newspapers and in last weekend's
The Australian.
Next
Monday (5 July) Elvis will be featured on all of the five TV nightly
news programs and the Kerri-Anne Kennerley morning program
will feature an Elvis theme. Sunrise is also doing a segment
as is A Current Affair and possibly Today Tonight.
In the press the Sydney Morning Herald is printing a story
about the anniversary. Of
the tabloid magazines, both Take 5 and New Idea have
stories about The King.
Various
radio stations around the country are featuring Elvis throughout
the day.
